How do I get to places?

Montreal has many different neighborhoods, so finding a way to get around quickly by taking public transport or driving is highly recommended. The great thing is that staying in a hotel in Montreal is really easy, and you can find many different options for staying in a hotel in Montreal.

STM operates both the citys subway system and the citys bus systems. Metro tickets are easy to buy at most metro stations, and a metro pass is great if you plan on riding a bunch of the city's major transit routes. A metro or bus pass is only $10 for a full day of free travel!

If you want to go to the city by the subway, you can get a ticket for $3.25 for one trip. You could get a good deal by buying a cheap set of metro tickets ($12) that allows you to ride the metro or bus system unlimited times. Passes that are valid for 7 days allow riders to travel anywhere they want to go! Those passes are especially handy if you are going to do a bunch of things! If your stay in Montreal is for a longer time, don't fret because there are many other options!

Montreal has several highway connections that allow you to go to parts outside of the city, like Quebec City or Ontario. You'll find that driving through Ontario is the easiest way for you to travel to Quebec City. You can get there by taking either Highway 301 or 20 (whichever route you choose) if you live in New Brunswick/New Jersey.

If you've driven from outside of Quebec, you can take the highway that leads through the city to a number of other cities in the country - even to Quebec City! Highways 15 and 16 go north and south through the city, connecting several major cities in Quebec and Canada.
