If you want to spend a quiet evening, head to Bighty or the Barley Pub & Restaurant.

It would not be a trip from Montreal to the capital city of Canada without doing something cultural. Montreal's museums are worth visiting: The Museum at Mount Royal and Musee canadien des civilisations are also worth visiting. There is a wide variety of places that you can stay when you visit Montreal. Depending on how much you budget, you may find a place that suits your needs. Many Montreal hotels offer guests the kind of amenities that they need, such as spas, gyms, and swimming pools. There are many luxurious hotels in Montreal, and some of them are quite luxurious. There will be many good Airbnbs available and other places you can rent a vacation rental at if you are willing to pay more. Airbnbs are also available in Montreal, a vibrant city with plenty of activities. Those who are seeking a great Airbnb or other rental property in the city are best off staying at one or more of the many other options available in Montreal.

How will you get from one place to another?

Montreal has plenty of public transport and is very easily accessible by taxi or car. It is easy to get around Montreal by public transportation or by car, but luckily, you have plenty of options.

Public Transportation: SMTC operates both the subway and the bus in downtown Montreal. Metro tickets are easy to buy at most metro stations, and a metro pass is great if you plan on riding a bunch of the city's major transit routes. A pass that costs just $10 allows access to all of the subway and the bus networks for one day.

If you just plan on taking the subway, it will cost you about $3.25 to ride the same route. You could even buy ten tickets to ride the metro for just $27.50 (or, the bus)! If you want to ride the STC a lot, you might want to get a smartcard that allows you to buy tickets for unlimited rides. Opus cards cost $6 each, and you buy cards with cash or tourist passes to add to your card.

Cash-value cards work just like reloadable debit cards; they allow riders to pay fares for their rides using money that they have saved up. When you plan on using the metro or bus a lot, we strongly suggest getting a card that has passes on it, rather than using cash to buy the fares. You will need to pay for a day of unlimited rides to get around Montreal. These cards are prepaid and you pay with cash or cards that are prepaid.

Some transit cards let you ride the metro or the bus as often as it's convenient for you. This is great if you plan to do a whole lot if you stay here. If your stay in Montreal is for a longer time, don't fret because there are many other options!

Montreal has several highway connections that allow you to travel easily between other areas of Canada and Quebec. It's best to drive from Quebec or New Brunswick to Mont-Royal by taking the 401 to York (or the 20 to Saint John).

If you've driven from outside Quebec, you can take Highway 14 through Mont-Royal to get to Montreal (and even to Quebec City!). From there, it's easy to drive to several other cities in Quebec, but it's easier to get to Montreal by bus! Highways 15 and 17 lead north-southand along the main lines of the Transcanadiens and other major highways.
