Montreal has several highway connections that allow you to easily travel around the city and to neighboring provinces. You can reach Montreal easily by taking the 401 in Ontario, or the 20 in New Brunswick/N.

If you've driven from outside Quebec, you can take Highway 14 through Mont-Royal to get to Montreal (and even to Quebec City!). From there, it's easy to drive to several other cities in Quebec, but it's easier to get to Montreal by bus! Highways 15 and 17 lead north-southand along the main lines of the Transcanadiens and other major highways.
