If you've only planned to take a few subway rides during your trip, the trip costs only $3.25. You might want to buy ten tickets, since some stations sell them for just $27.50 each. If you want to ride the STC a lot, you might want to get a smartcard that allows you to buy tickets for unlimited rides. Opus cards cost $6 each, and you buy cards with cash or tourist passes to add to your card.
